Dushanbe, March 10th. - The two discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation as well as the progress of implementation of agreements reached during their last meetings.

Both sides also exchanged views on the agendas and organizational aspects of the upcoming meetings of heads of state of the CIS, CSTO and SCO as well as ways to strengthen and improve activities of these organizations.

The presidents also discussed plans of preparation of multilateral events in the first half-year of 2010, in particular, informal CIS summit that will take place in Moscow on May 8, joint participation in celebrations dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Second Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
